We people with dry, itchy skin seem to have few choices for body wash products.Either we go with the kind-to-your-skin, gloppy, blobby, gelatinous washes that you have to smear around and are no fun to use, or we have to get something that is more irritating but gives you some light and bubble-y experience, easy to apply and spread, perhaps with a nice fragrance.This is a nice compromise between the two extremes. It contains gentle, bubble-making surfactants that make the product easy to apply and spread, but it also contains some humectants and emollients. It has some essential oil blend for fragrance, which can be irritating to sensitive skin, but since we rinse body washes off pretty quickly, maybe it's ok if you can tolerate it for a few minutes.It has a different sort of fragrance, which smells clean but isn't exactly the traditional soap smell that one gets from finely-milled French soap from the past. The fragrance is acceptable, fairly feminine, not stinging and not overwhelming, and it does not hang around for very long after a shower, although it is there for half an hour or so.The fragrance is somewhat like, but not exactly the same as, Dove products I've tried in the recent past. I like the Dove products, but there is something about them that consistently and reliably cause skin irritation to me after a few uses. Whatever it is, it's not something I've encountered with other products; it has been limited to Dove products.Coconut & Cactus Water Quench does not irritate my skin. I will try some of their other products in the near future.I don't know how it will go during the winter when indoor heat makes skin dry and parched. I may have to switch over to the more therapeutic but less enjoyable products then. We'll see. I might come back and update mid-winter.
