It was for a gift, my compadre love it.My favorite trail shoe out there. But definitely runs small compared to other brands and even other La Sportivas.Not a good running shoeWith a wide forefoot, high arch, and narrow heel, I can't wear La Sportiva shoes and boots, until now. The Akasa is a super comfortable trail runner/light hiker with a wider forefoot that it typical of shoes/boots from this company. It's not an Altra nor is it as cushy as a Hoka, but it will remind you a bit of both. Have been hiking in Salewa approach shoes; the Akasha is my new favorite...I ordered a half size larger as recommended by other reviews, shoes arrived in about 2 days of placing order, unfortunately I had to return them to get a full size larger. Posted on a Thursday afternoon, money refunded by 5pm same day ordered the replacement pair at that time and they arrived on Saturday morning. Ordinary post, brilliant. Many thanks to the supplier.Shoes are great too, ran a forest trail with all sorts of surfaces and coped very well, even kicked a stone or two and never felt them. Many more good runs to comeNice shoes, really comfortable, not soft sole, quite hard but well cushioned. Definitely go at least half UK size up as these were too small for. La sportiva sizing is terrible always size upThe product is good , that is the reasin I have bought it. But I cannot use it. Because I nirmally wear 8 UK. I bought them 8 1/2 UK they are small for me, I need it a 9 UK. So buy 1 unit higher than you normally wear. I am very upset that I cannot use them :((Amazing shoes. Just did 65k with then in the mountains and I fell great on my feet. Highly recommended.Love La Sportiva. Fits like a glove, comfortable, light and stylish. Two pairs now, will buy more
